Compare this to what John McCain said about Hillary's health care plan:
Clearly Obama was referring to John McCain's policies. Never once was the word "Palin" uttered in Obama's entire clip. On McCain's clip, the reference to Hillary was in direct context.
Look, if the John McCain camp is going to make this fair game for false controversy, then it's more than fair game to raise the following three points:
Did Obama ever call his wife a cunt? No. But, John McCain did. In the book "The Real McCain," Cliff Schecter writes "At one point, Cindy playfully twirled McCain's hair and said, 'You're getting a little thin up there.' McCain's face reddened, and he responded, 'At least I don't plaster on the makeup like a trollop, you cunt!'." His words, not mine.
Did Obama ever disparage his opponents children or their gender? No. But, John McCain did.
In 1998, McCain "joked", "Why is Chelsea Clinton so ugly? Answer: Because her father is Janet Reno." Classy.
Did Obama ever respond to a question referring to his opponent as a bitch? No. But, John McCain did. Last November, an audience member, referring to Hillary, asked "How do we beat the bitch?" McCain's response: "Excellent question." Who's the misogynist? Now that's a good question.
Then again, this is what you'd expect from a guy who said "I hate the gooks, and I will hate them for as long as I live...and you can quote me."
